Vocal Inventions – An Improv Choir is an excellent way to have fun, sing, relax, feel connected, release happy endorphins, build community; even among people who speak different languages.  Simply sing what is sung to you. It’s that easy.  The choir form is inspired by Bobby McFerrin’s “circle singing” concept: Singers are divided into groups according to their vocal pitch range; melodic and rhythmical patterns/parts are composed by Martina on the spot; in turn each group is given a pattern/part to sing, the parts and voices build and build until the improvised song grooves along; there is then an opportunity to solo over top of the newly improvised tune if you are moved to do so.  All levels of singers are welcomed; complete beginners to the very experienced.  Drop in.
